It was an all or nothing game to claim the West Asia Championship title while at the same time hoping Hurricanes could do us a favour by beating Exiles or at the very least preventing them from getting a bonus point. Our boys did exactly what they needed to do by romping to a win over Bahrain with a 108-7 scoreline and some fabulous running rugby from the whole squad. Sadly, Exiles managed to grab the victory against Hurricanes along with the bonus point they needed and so have been crowned West Asia Champions.

Elsewhere, the Baa Baa’s rounded out their season with a 26-7 victory over RAK Goats and finish in 3rd place for the UAE Community League. For the Mens 2nd XV, they earned a default victory over Dubai Exiles 2nds and finish in 3rd place in the UAE Conference Top 6.

Now the focus turns to the UAE Premiership with a couple of matches left and our 1st XV sitting top of the table. The guys will need to pick themselves up from the disappointment of missing out on the West Asia Championship title as they face Al Ain and Dubai Hurricanes in the coming weeks.
